Walking along aside others in their journey to help them find hope and healing is something I am passionate about. I value relationships and strive to build a comfortable space for those I work with to process events in their life, find strength in themselves and develop a deeper connection with those in their life. This value has led to a focus of strengthening relationships of young children (birth through five years old) and their caregivers who have experienced adversity, stressful and traumatic events.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I utilize a family systems approach and attachment theory with a developmental perspective to help individuals and families grow together while finding comfort within their relationships. My experience involves working with young children and their families in an outpatient day treatment program as well as infants, children, teens and adults in an outpatient therapy setting. I am trained in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Circle of Security-Parenting. I am trained in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Circle of Security-Parenting.  I have completed Level I of Theraplay training as well as the Permanency and Adoption Competency Certificate (PACC).

Alison Erickson, MSW, LICSW

I believe everyone has a story to tell and everyone deserves to have that story heard. My goal as a therapist is to empower and give hope to my clients. I value connections and relationships, and this is what informs my work as therapist. I am trauma informed and use a family systems perspective. My passions include working with children and parents to provide early interventions and to improve family functioning. I also work with teens and adults of all ages.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Social work in 2017. Prior to getting my Master’s Degree I worked as a Licensed Social Worker and have over 10 years of experience working with children and families in a variety of settings including schools, the court systems, mental health treatment settings, and in-home.

I am certified in Attachment Biobehavioral Catch-up (ABC), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and have completed Level I of Theraplay training.

Shelby Lies, MS, LPCC

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Theraplay training and progress towards certifications in Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Child-Parent Psychotherapy. I have spent most of my career working with young children, adolescents, and families in intensive care programs. As a counselor, I focus on wellness and what we can do to help you and your child feel hopeful as we begin to change your story. I approach therapy with trauma informed interventions, and from an attachment, developmental, and systems lens. Together we will build from your personal strengths and resilience to help you heal and feel more connected to your environment and relationships.

My goal is to join you throughout your journey. I am passionate about creating the safe and supportive atmosphere needed to acknowledge stressors and process situations or experiences that are challenging to you, while also being sensitive to the ways your past experiences can impact your present. I am aware and supportive of how our unexpressed feelings can leave us feeling disconnected to the world and people around us.

Taking steps toward change and accepting support can make us feel vulnerable. I hope to help through those moments with humor and play, while continuing to provide a non-judgmental, professional and supportive space.
